LEV is an engineering control system to reduce exposures to airborne contaminants such as dust, mist, fume, vapour or gas in the workplace.

Health and safety law is primarily aimed at employers, whose work activities with hazardous substances pose a risk to employees and others.

Under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, every employer has health and safety duties to themselves, their employees and other people who may be affected by the way they carry out their work.

It is a legal requirement for employers to carry out LEV testing at least every 14 months. Some applications require testing even more frequently.

This LEV testing can be carried out by our P601 qualified engineers, to ensure that your company remains legally compliant with regulation 9 of The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002. Ensuring that your LEV systems continue to protect your workforce

Employers have a legal responsibility to protect the health and safety of their staff, as according to

• The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
• The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH).
• The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999.
• There are also special provisions for employers in safety data sheets under REACH.
